Riga – The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Latvia, Andrian Roșa, participated today in the second edition of the annual meeting of the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia with members of the diplomatic corps, organized in digital format.

During the meeting, the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia, Sanita Osipova, presented the main areas of activity of the Court, the priorities of the institution she leads, as well as the specifics of the activity during pandemics. Examples of decisions in examining cases of importance for Latvian society were also provided.

In his intervention, Ambassador Andrian Roșa thanked the Latvian side for their support in the process of reforming the judiciary system of the Republic of Moldova, particularly referring to the necessity to continue the successful project carried out in 2019 "Strengthening the institutional capacities of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova", which included the study visits to Latvia of court lawyers from Moldova. Also, the interest for organizing, on a regular basis, the online discussions of the constitutional judges from both states was expressed, including the organization of webinars on current topics of major interest.
